In June 2020, Lambeth's Planning Applications Committee approved Homes for Lambeth's planning application on the former Patmos Lodge Care Home site which has been vacant for a number of years. The proposed development will deliver an additional 31 new homes of which 50% of the accommodation will be for affordable housing.
Homes for Lambeth submitted the proposals to Lambeth Council in April 2020, following public consultation events in December 2019.
The proposals will provide seven much needed new council level rent homes ranging from two bed apartments to three and four bedroom homes with gardens and six shared ownership homes which will all be one and two bed apartments.
The new homes have been designed to take account of the existing homes and surrounding context of the site and will provide high quality architectural design.
In addition to the new homes, there will be 335m2 of communal gardens and landscaping for the residents. The development will be car free and encourages sustainable modes of transport with the provision of secure cycle parking for all residents.
