Sandra Roebuck

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Sandra Roebuck is our Interim Chief Executive Officer and a Company Director on HFL Build and HFL Living Boards. She is a strategic leader with commercial, investment and digital experience across both the public and private sector. Sandra is on secondment from her post as the Director of Place and Infrastructure at Lambeth Council. She joined the Council following 20 years in the private sector, most recently as a Principal of AECOM. Sandra has an outstanding track record in the delivery of complex development programmes throughout London. With a determination to flourish and succeed, Sandra creates a prime source of contagious energy directed at getting results. She knows HFL and the development programme very well having been part of the team that launched the company 3 years ago.

Melanie Hyland

Director of Finance & Resources

Melanie is our Director of Finance and Resources, and a Company Director on the HFL Build and HFL Living Boards. A recognised senior business leader, she has a wealth of knowledge and key skills within all functions of finance. Melanie is experienced in the production of award-winning annual reports, strategic planning and modelling, people management and mentoring, Investor Relations and corporate structuring. Melanie has overseen projects and financial development in all sizes of organisations, from AIM-listed companies to start-ups. She has knowledge of HR, IT and corporate governance as well as extensive experience with complex structures, accounting and obtaining funding.

Jason Emile

Director of Development

Jason is our Director of Development, and a Company Director on the HFL Build and HFL Living Boards. Jason leads the Development and Construction teams and is responsible for managing sites right through from pre-development to the delivery of quality homes. Before joining Homes for Lambeth, Jason was at Berkeley Homes where he spent five years in a number of roles, including Head of Technical and Development Director working on major developments including Goodman’s Fields and Trent Park.

Samantha Herelle

Director of Operations

Samantha is our Director of Operations, and a Company Director on the HFL Build and HFL Living Boards. Most recently, she was the Director of Operations at Mount Green Housing Association and has over a decade’s experience within the industry. From leading housing management and operation teams to deliver strong performance and high customer satisfaction levels to delivering resident engagement strategies and maximising social impact activity. Samantha has also been a Non-Executive Board member at Optivo Housing and Viridian Housing. In 2017, she contributed to the merger of Viridian with AmicusHorizon, creating a 44,000 home organisation with the development capacity of 1,500 homes per year.

Board

Caroline Pillay

Chair of HFL Group

Caroline is Group Chair of Homes for Lambeth and sits on Homes for Lambeth's Remuneration and Nomination Committee. She is a Senior Partner at Airey Miller Partnership. In her career, she has worked with councils and their development teams to bring forward affordable housing schemes. Caroline originally trained in Social Work and Nursing at London South Bank University before moving into housing and later graduating in the Urban Regeneration MSc from the UCL’s Bartlett, School of Planning.

David Gannicott

Vice Chair of HFL Group

David is a Non-Executive Director of Homes for Lambeth, sitting as Vice Chair of Homes for Lambeth Group Board and on Homes for Lambeth's Remuneration and Nomination Committee. He has worked at board and strategic executive level in the housing sector for over 25 years, including senior executive roles at L&Q and Hyde Housing Group. He is a passionate advocate for providing housing for people that cannot access the private market and has particular expertise in Low-Cost Home Ownership.

Alison Muir

Chair of HFL Homes

Alison Muir is Non-Executive Director at Homes for Lambeth, sitting on the Homes for Lambeth Group Board and as Chair of HFL Homes Board. She has significant experience in the housing sector and most recently as interim Chief Executive of a small housing association and previously served as Director of Resident Services at Peabody. Alison was a former member of the London Fuel Partnership which advises and supports the Mayor of London on Fuel Poverty and chaired the G15 Housing Directors’ Group. She also currently sits on the board of Clarion Housing Association.

Richard Stevens

Chair of Audit and Risk

Richard is a Non-Executive Director on the Homes for Lambeth Group and HFL Homes boards and chairs the Homes for Lambeth Audit and Risk Committee. Richard was previously the chair of HFL Homes board. He is a chartered accountant and spent most of his career as a partner, specialising in audit and assurance. He has held non-executive roles in the social housing sector since 2005 (Family Mosaic) and currently sits on the boards of Charlton Triangle Homes (Peabody Group), Local Space and Saxon Weald.

Wendy Stokes

Chair of Remuneration and Nominations

Wendy is a Non-Executive Director at Homes for Lambeth, sitting on the Homes for Lambeth Group Board, Audit and Risk Committee and as Chair of Homes for Lambeth's Remuneration and Nominations Committee. She has led and advised on a number of local authority housing projects, recently on a large-scale mixed-use regeneration project and on setting up Ealing’s council-owned development company, Broadway Living, then acting as interim Managing Director.

Peter Walters

Independent Non-Executive Director

Peter is a Non-Executive Director of Homes for Lambeth, sitting on the HFL Homes Board and Homes for Lambeth's Audit and Risk Committee. He has extensive experience in the housing sector, including as CEO of two large housing associations and a Director of Housing and Social Services for the London Borough of Merton. He is also the Chair of Central and Cecil Housing Trust and is a trustee at Housing Justice.

Councillor David Amos

Lambeth Elected Representative

Councillor David Amos is the council appointed elected member of the Homes for Lambeth Group Board, he also serves on Homes for Lambeth's Remuneration and Nomination Committee. Along with the other Group Board members, he provides guidance, oversight and decision making to Homes for Lambeth. David is the Councillor for Prince's Ward in Vauxhall.

Fiona McDermott

Lambeth Council Representative

Fiona is a Non-Executive Director on both the Homes for Lambeth Group Board and Homes for Lambeth's Remuneration and Nomination Committee. She was previously a partner at KPMG for 10 years focused on strategy and transactions with a range of organisations from FTSE 100, start-up enterprises, and the public sector. She is also the Strategic Director for Finance and Investment for Lambeth.

Tom Branton

Lambeth Council Representative

Tom sits on the HFL Group and Build Boards, and Audit and Risk Committee. He brings wide-ranging private and public sector development and regeneration experience. Tom is skilled in the delivery of complex urban regeneration projects having worked on a number of large scale projects both across London and in South East Asia. As Director for Regeneration and Housing Growth at LB Lambeth, Tom is responsible for leading regeneration, housing growth and development strategies for the borough.

Nabeel Khan

Lambeth Council Representative

Nabeel sits on the HfL Homes Board. He brings 15 years experience of working with senior policy makers and politicians across a range of economic development and regeneration projects in the public sector. He currently works for Lambeth Council heading up the economy division, where his remit covers place-shaping, inward investment & business support, cultural programming and supporting Lambeth residents into good work. Prior to Lambeth, he worked for the Mayor of London, delivering the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy and targeting over £100m of investment funds into London's growing tech and digital sectors.
