More homes at St Oswald’s Place

St Oswald’s Place is set to deliver eight family-sized homes at council rent and an exceptional new facility for the local community, through a partnership between the developer St James, Lambeth Council and Vauxhall City Farm.

St. Oswald’s Place is a mixed use development that has come about in consideration of a development by St. James on the Albert Embankment. The scheme will deliver a mix of two, three and four bedroom apartments. Demonstrating Lambeth Council’s commitment to social housing and a pledge to build over 1,000 additional homes at council rents over the next four years. The scheme also boasts new classroom, café and office space on the ground floor for Vauxhall City Farm.

Vauxhall City Farm plays a fundamental role in supporting the local community through educational, recreational and therapeutic activities. The new amenities will greatly enhance the facility and are a welcome and much needed addition to the farm. Established in 1977, the farm is home to a variety of animals including woolly alpacas, spotted pigs and riding ponies. As a registered charity, it provides visitors with an opportunity to escape city life and learn about food, farming and the environment.
