What a typical day at Homes for Lambeth is like for me
My main responsibility is to provide support to our CEO’s office. No day is ever the same, I spend my time managing itineraries and agendas, organising meetings and events with our key stakeholders, assisting with daily administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth-running of the executive office.
Something interesting about me
My main passion is working in the voluntary sector. I have worked with Crisis at Christmas since 2015, making connections with vulnerable individuals, especially during the Christmas period, this really changes your outlook and perspective on life.
Since 2019 I have supported the Refugee Community Kitchen, who support those fleeing war, poverty, persecution and climate change and living in Northern France and the UK.by providing hot nutritious meals. It’s been very grounding experience.
Outside of charity work, I love travelling, dinner parties and enjoying live music. The best gig I ever went to was Dru Hill at The O2!
What brought me to the position at Homes for Lambeth
I love the passion and mission of the organisation; I really resonate with these values as they reflect what I do in the voluntary sector. I feel so lucky to have a job where it doesn’t feel like work. The whole team works so hard and produces amazing achievements because of this.
What I’m most proud of professionally
Aside from having the opportunity to work for a company that is inclusive and supports its communities with a passion, this year I was accepted into University of Westminster to study BSc Construction Management. Starting full-time studies alongside full-time work is a challenge, but one I am looking forward to tackling. This is just the start of my next journey!
