HOUSING MANAGEMENT UPDATE

HFL Homes Update

This is your update from HFL Homes and our partners Pinnacle Housing Management

Following your Tenants Forum we would first like to thank everyone who attended the Tenants Forum last Wednesday. The meeting was productive, and we were able to talk through cleaning, heating, electricity bills, and the updated Engage portal.

As we advance, we intend to put an estate improvement plan on all areas of life on the estate. We have already targeted the issuing of rent statements where we have confirmed they will be issued regularly to all tenants and that you can check-in at any time via your Engage portal. If you are yet to access the portal or have issues with your log-in, please let us know and reset your account.

Post deliveries on the estate Another area we have seen progress on since last week is regarding your regular mail deliveries. After residents flagged that they had gone weeks without receiving mail, we issued a complaint to Royal Mail, who have confirmed they will action improvements to their service over the next week.

We ask that if you continue to have issues with your mail delivery after the end of next week, you let us know to work together to improve this service on the estate.

Service standards and response times

We are putting together a complete document of all contact details and standard response times across the estate. We are doing this to ensure that residents know what to expect when they contact the housing office about anything to do with life on the estate.

For your immediate reference: All calls should be made to 020 3701 3569, our 24/7 call centre line. The correct officer will follow these up within 24 hours of your call or the next working day if calls are made over the weekend or holidays.

Alternatively, please email Lollard.Street@pinnaclegroup.co.uk and the team will get back to you within three working days.

COVID-19 TESTING

Lambeth Council are urging all residents over the age of 11 to take a PCR Covid-19 test within the next week. This is due to the new cases of the South African variant which were found in the borough.

This testing will help to identify any further cases and help limit the potential spread. Nine additional testing sites have now opened across Lambeth and we encourage you to get tested even if you have no symptoms.

For more information click here or call 020 7926 5559. The line is open from 10am to 4pm every day.

YOUR HOMES FOR LAMBETH

Hello,

I’m Steve, the new IT Apprentice at Homes for Lambeth. I focus on providing IT support and training for our staff, including both guides and 1-2-1 training sessions. This can be rewarding when you have helped someone through difficulty and they can get on with their day.

I was made redundant due to COVID-19, so I decided I would use the opportunity to expand my skills by training in IT. I am a Lambeth resident and when I saw this opportunity to work for Homes for Lambeth as well as get my desired qualifications, I knew it was an opportunity I could not let pass.

Apprenticeships are a great way to get into any industry, as they not only give you a qualification but also hands-on experience. I would not only like to be successful in my study but make a positive impact at Homes for Lambeth.

Steve McCready IT Apprentice
