Homes for Lambeth have submitted a detailed planning application on a former ballcourt site on Hydethorpe Road. The proposed development will result in an additional 14 new homes, including 6 new affordable homes, which contribute to the Boroughs housing need.
The proposals will significantly improve the quality, appearance and usability of the existing communal amenity space on the site, including new planting and playspace. Furthermore, new tree planting and landscaping will also be provided along Hydethorpe Road and Thornton Road to improve the quality and appearance of the street and public realm.
All new homes will comply with the Mayor of London’s residential standards and be provided with private amenity space. The new homes comprise high quality architectural design which seeks to provide an attractive and safe place for people to live and visit. The development will be car free and encourages sustainable modes of transport with the provision of secure cycle parking for all residents.
