Welcome to our second newsletter, updating you on the construction activity at Fenwick Estate South
Each month in our newsletter we will give you an update on what we have done and what we will be doing. We expect the project to take around two years to complete.
You may have noticed, works have now commenced on both sites A & B with the first operation being a site strip of the made up ground including a reduce dig down to the foundation formation levels. This will allow Mulalley to commence with the construction of a level base which will be used to enable the piling.
As Government COVID-19 guidelines relaxed, we are ensuring all our works on site continue in a safe manner and follow the Construction Leadership Councils guidelines.
So, what’s happened?
To allow for safer road conditions for all, we will continue with the suspension of a number of parking bays within Cottage Grove. This will aid site deliveries and the enforcement of a one way system in and out of the site We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
What is planned?
During August we will continue with the excavation and preparation of the piling mat. The piling is due to commence during the last week of August.
As the works on site increase, further excavation machines, skips and lorry movements will be necessary.
From the end of August to November, drainage and foundation works will continue along with the erection of a tower crane on each site to assist with lifting as the main concrete frames start to come out of the ground. Unfortunately, during the erection of the tower cranes and other key work items we will need to close Cottage Grove to allow safe access, we will give you notice of these closures nearer the time to minimise any inconvenience.
