Fenwick South update from Mulalley

Introduction

Each month we will give you an update on works we have carried out and what we will be doing next.

What’s been happening

Since our last news letter, we have completed all ground remediation works on both sites. We are currently constructing the pile mat to Block A which will then allow piling to start mid January 2022.

We are also constructing our internal pedestrian access pathways, site haulage road and foundation pads to allow us to install the main site accommodation during January 2022.

On completion of these works, you will start to see the building footprint evolve as the foundations and drainage works start towards the end of January into February 2022.

Block B piling has started and when finished, foundation and drainage works will follow on. You will then be able to see the building start to take shape.

On completion of the foundation works the main concrete frame works will start.

December Shutdown Period

Our Head Office and Sites Offices will be closed from 3pm on Tuesday 21 December 2021. We will reopen all our offices at 8am on Wednesday 5 January 2022. We wish you all compliments of the season and a Happy New Year.

A word from us

Please be reassured that we are trying to keep disruption to a minimum. We will give notice of works and keep noise/dust to a minimum. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Parking Bays

To provide safer road conditions we will continue the suspension of parking bays in Cottage Grove. This one way system aids site deliveries. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Emergencies

If you have an emergency involving our works during working hours (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm), please contact a member of our team.

If the emergency is outside of our working hours or over the December Shutdown period, please contact 0800 023 2080.

Site Security

We will have 24/7 security cover over the December Shutdown period.

We have people working in your area

We do not need to access your home for any of our works. However, all Mulalley staff, subcontractors and visitors carry identification.

Our works and the COVID 19 pandemic

We continue to follow Government guidelines as well as the latest guidance and advice from the Construction Leadership Council and Public Health England.

Employment and Skills

The project will create a number of jobs and placements for local residents. We will be sending out information about how to apply for these soon. You can also contact Lambeth Direct at: opportunity.lambeth@gov.uk for general vacancies.

Site safety is very important

We ask that you help us by reminding children about staying away from building sites. Though they may look fun to play in, they are very dangerous places.

  • Contact our 24/7 freephone helpline if you see anything suspicious (
  • Contact the police in an emergency on 101 or 999

Considerate Constructors

Mulalley is a founder associate partner of the Considerate Constructor Scheme. This scheme is non profit making, independent organisation founded by the industry to improve its image. The scheme operates independent inspectors to monitor site activities and overall appearance of sites with emphasis on the following:

  • Respect the community
