Development Management Team procurement

As you will be aware, there has been a legal challenge to the procurement process for the Development Management Team (DMT).  After considering our position following this legal challenge,

we have concluded that it is in the best interest of residents and the programme not to proceed with the proposal to award the DMT contract to Mace.

As a council, we want to make sure that we can build the better homes current residents need, along with the new homes to help tackle Lambeth’s housing crisis. Contesting this challenge would not help us do this as it will only create unnecessary delays, costs and uncertainty for residents. We very much regret having to take this course of action and, while we remain of the opinion that the procurement was carried out in a manner which was legally compliant, I would like to apologise for the current situation.

We remain fully committed to the rebuilding of the Fenwick Estate and we will now look for the best way forward to minimise further delays while also making sure residents are also involved.

If you would like to discuss this with a member of the team then please get in touch via:
