The Future of Cressingham Gardens
Lambeth Council has recently published a report that provides information on what Homes for Lambeth’s have delivered and what they are planning to deliver. This is called the Joint Delivery Plan. You can read this plan here homesforlambeth.co.uk/business-plans. If you don’t have access to the internet, you can request a copy of the Joint Delivery Plan by calling 07735 743036 / 020 4526 9322.
The Joint Delivery Plan confirms that masterplanning Cressingham Gardens will start later this year. A masterplan is a design (or plan) for a large area or estate which provides the layout for new homes, community facilities, shops and green spaces, and will guide future development.
The first jobs in the masterplanning journey for Cressingham Gardens will be to set up your Resident Engagement Group and then, working with this group, to appoint the architect who will work with you to design the masterplan for the new estate. This process will begin this year. Design work on the estate will start once the architect has been appointed.
We want to hold a launch event for the Cressingham Gardens masterplanning at the end of the summer, so that you can meet the project team and we can share more information with you, including next steps. It is important that you feel able to contribute to the masterplan, so we will be including lots of different opportunities for you to get involved.

Your Future
We provide training, work experience, internships, apprenticeships and activities that support your wellbeing. We also work to improve access to the internet by running training sessions on digital skills and lending devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets. You’re welcome to get in touch about any of these opportunities.
Since the Covid restrictions have been lifted, we will be reopening the engagement hub (8 Longford Walk) on the estate. We’d love to know what you would like to see happening in the hub as a part of the ‘Your Future’ programme and you can do this right away by completing the ‘Your Say’ section of the newsletter. You can also come along to one of our regular drop-ins held at the Hub and have a chat with the team.
Keep reading for details of the drop-ins in the ‘What’s On’ section in this newsletter.
Based on your feedback from the survey and the drop-ins, we’ll be able to develop a plan around your ideas and suggestions by the autumn 2022 and that’s really exciting!
Your Team
