Access to digital devices

As part of our work to support strong and stable communities, we are keen to help bridge the digital divide in Lambeth. Over the next year we will work with residents from; Central Hill, Cressingham Gardens, Fenwick, Knights Walk, South Lambeth, Westbury estates and Lollard Street who do not have the equipment, internet access or who have limited data to get online and make the most of the opportunities available, including those provided through the wider HFL programme of activities.

We will

Loan up to 40 laptops and 10 tablets with data to residents in need for a period of 6 months

Donate up to 100 hubbub phones with data

Provide Wi-Fi and access to laptops at each of the community hubs for one day a week

Provide 1-1 support and training

Recruit and train volunteer digital buddies to support you to get online

There are limited resources for this project so we will prioritise applications for equipment and data according to the criteria set out at the bottom of this page. If the lending scheme is oversubscribed, a waiting list will be kept so that any loaned equipment that is no longer needed can be redistributed. There will also be an appeals process for any unsuccessful applicants. This project will be advertised via a mail-out to residents across the priority estates and Lollard Street.
