Homes for Lambeth has submitted proposals to build 268 new homes in Lambeth.
Denby Court, located in Vauxhall, will see 141 new homes, with 63 of these being prioritised for affordable housing. The scheme is producing a reduction in CO2 emissions by 36%. The plans propose new trees and improve shared outdoor spaces for all residents.
Larkhall Depot, located next to Larkhall Park, will see 127 new homes, with 57 of these being prioritised for affordable housing. The scheme is producing a reduction in CO2 emissions by 68%. Alongside the new developments there will also be a new community facility and improvements to Larkhall Park.
Both new developments will be more sustainable, energy efficient and safer for our residents.
The schemes provide much needed, family sized homes for residents on the councils housing waiting list. The new homes will include a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes that will cater to various needs, including wheelchair accessibility. Additionally, the reduction in carbon emissions across both sites highlight that we are on track to reach our goal of helping to make Lambeth a greener and cleaner place to live.
The applications mark an important milestone for the future of Lambeth, because providing much needed, affordable housing is at the heart of what we do. We look forward to these applications progressing to a planning committee in the near future.
